Trouble at Auburn with Kodi Burns' parents

From Arkansas Sports 360:

Kodi Burns' Parents Pull a Springdale Move at Auburn?

Still, we couldn't help also noting this whole Little League parents deal with Kodi Burns and his folks meeting with Tubby. Shades of Houston Nutt and the Springdale three, or whatever it was. What's with Arkansas parents and their little pampered superstars when they head off to college, anyway? Tubby better not bench Rogers' Lee Ziemba or he'll no doubt have another meeting scheduled.

Full story here.

That is a complete and utter mischaracterization of the meeting between the Burnses and Tuberville.

I totally disagree. The "kid" is what, 19 or 20? And a sophomore in college? What would happen if a college student's parents called for a meeting with a professor? It would be laughed at. Any parent of a college student who calls for a meeting with the head coach is Little League. Can you imagine if the parent of an 18-year-old in the military called for a meeting with his superiors? This is a joke. 18 is old enough to start fighting your own battles.

Good to see that Scott remembered Harris's e-mail address and got him to print a retraction/correction/clarification.
I know Scott and I know Low, the college football writer who got this all rolling.
Both are good people and not prone to spread rumors.
But I suspect that since Scott works with one of the kid's parents, he got it straight from the horse's mouth.
I also suspect that Low got his information from a pretty good source as well.
What is at issue is how Harris spun it on his website. It reads like he felt like taking another shot at Nutt, which he is prone to do.
Even though this time it was in a rather oblique way.
