NCAA tournament final standings

Congratulations to No Love for Starbury, who ran away with this tournament to become a repeat champion. He wins the $180 pot, the traditional year's subscription to Slam magazine, and the coveted Escobar Cup. His bracket is posted above, and you can click on it to get a larger version of how it's done.

I also must give propers to the only two entrants -- Eugene's Nash and Haji and Mr. Reeves -- to make the genius pick of Florida as national champ, and to have them as a moneyball team all the way.

Below are the final standings with real names. Feel free to explain your tournament name by clicking the "Comments" link below this post. Thanks to everyone who entered, and I hope this pool enhanced your NCAA tournament experience.

Haji and Mr. Reeves are two guys Ramon interviewed at the airport for an episode of "The Ramon Escobar Show." They were suspicious characters and in today's world would be getting the wire tap treatment. And so would Ramon because after interviewing them he proceeded to walk into the cockpit, sit down in one of the pilot's chairs, and interview the co-pilot.

Was that the same Mr. Reeves that absconded with everyone's math grades your senior year (my freshman) and then tried to blackmail Fr. Tribou with the scores for more money? Stupid me, I was honest when I said I was only getting a C+ when asked what we thought we were getting that semester.

That was Mr. Tarvin, which I think was the entry name I used last year as "The Talented Mr. Tarvin."

I can't believe I lost again. For that matter I would like an honorary donation in my name sent to the Catholic High Alumni Association, for the fact that when I did actually win this thing, there was no pool and/or payout. That being said, did anyone notice the 4 way tie for fifth place? I demand a recount!
