Auburn fans have made an appearance at the high school kickoff classic in Little Rock on Tuesday night.
Two Auburn fans sported a sign that said "Auburn is in Dyer need"
Elementary school students from Oak Grove (I think) were booing the Auburn fans.
Good times.
This followed a report on the local Fox affiliate that said Dyer had committed to Auburn. Dyer had actually said his No. 1 choice of his top three schools was Auburn, but his top three were still Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee.
It caused a bit of a panic in the press box as the recruiting guys went into a tizzy.
Best line, "you don't want to be first, you want to be accurate."
Best guess is that Dyer will land at Auburn. Tennessee has Bryce Brown, the No. 1 player of last year's class at running back and Petrino is too proud to kowtow to a high school kid.
Plus it is in Petrino's best interest for Dyer to go to Auburn so when he leaves Fayetteville for the plains in three years, Dyer will be in Petrino's backfield for the Tigers.

Great report. That sign is really going to ring true after the Louisiana Tech upset on Saturday. Also, nice work, Fox.
Recruiting guys are worried about accuracy!?!
Does that mean we'll get legit 40 times from now on?
"Recruiting guys are worried about accuracy!?!"
His name rhymes with Dudley Dawson. The kid from Rivals was working himself into a tizzy about it. Pretty hilarious, actually.
I'm not quite sure what the big deal is about Dyer.
He doesn't make my top five of best high school players I've seen play.
Patrick Willis, Basil Shabazz, Matt Jones, Madre Hill, Chris Donald, Rod Smith, Boo Weathers, Daylan Walker.
And I once stood in front of Barry Sanders at the KC airport, and he had nice moves as he carried his bag to the plane.
Crap, now that I think about, Dyer doesn't crack my high school top 10 or my list of former professional players I stood by at airports.
Dyer is a nice player, he's got decent wheels and is physically imposing despite being 5-9 (hint, he's not that tall). He's also a good student and what people refer to as a good character kid.
He doesn't have the big-time burst of speed where he can drop it into another gear on a breakaway run.
He's the kind of high school player who is going to get a pretty consistent 6, 7 yards a carry, with the occasional 15 to 20 yard burst.
He's not the kind of player who is a home run threat every time he touches the ball.
In the right scheme, Dyer should be a 1,000-yard rusher and a contender for all-conference honors. But he is not the second coming of Sanders.
