The sixth game
As I've mentioned before, I don't really pick the games so much as the games pick themselves. The goal is to find the biggest games with the most competitive match-ups. The "sixth game" -- the game that didn't make the list -- this week is UCLA-BYU. It has the potential to be a better match-up with two better teams than the game that took its place, Oregon at Michigan. The drama surrounding Michigan and the high probability of an upset was just too much to resist. The game has flash before it even kicks off. That's how it made the five. But if you are sitting at home, check out UCLA and BYU over on Versus because I think it is going to be a shootout.

For audit purposes after I go 5-0, here are my picks for the week:
Oklahoma
Michigan
Georgia
TCU
LSU
With the Rugby World Cup starting today, a full slate of soccer friendlies (USA v Brazil) and Euro 2008 qualifying and the start of the NFL ... who has time for college football!?!
The Rugby World Cup? Insert Jim Rome manual buzzer here.
I think Michigan was a great choice..why? Did you see the interviews with the players later in the week, I really think they will kick butt this week, and i am no Michigan fan. What makes college footbal so great....is these are kids, and on any given day...you just never know. Who just who couldn't love it.
And another thing... you're a Heisman voter! Don't you have an obligation to put college football ahead of Euro 2008 qualifying???
That's why God invented TIVO, Matt.
